oh Ms. Leibovitz - i love her so.
i've been a fan before
i knew who she was.
it was this that did it for me.
[tangent: this photo was taken
the morning that John Lennon was shot.]
she's so gifted at pulling
you in.

i caught her show, A Photographer's Life: 1990-2005 at the Brooklyn Museum last year.
it was really lovely and amazing.
it's currently at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.

oddly enough, photographers rarely
reveal so much
about their personal
lives through photos.
let alone publicly.

she was particulary candid about
her relationship with Susan Sontag.
beautiful stuff.
